Nowadays,electroplating is widely used for metal because of its excellent corrosion resistance property.Zinc nickel  plating is kindly of latest plating method which provide nice corrosion resistance and play important role for improvement of corrosion resistance for metal.

Zn and Ni both provide protection for metal.Zinc nickel plating will be nice when composition of Ni is 7%-18%.The corrosion resistance can be as three times as Zn plating.The plating layer bond on the parts firmly.The solution of plating is easily to dispose.

Zinc Nickel alloy plating is mostly used for automobile steel in order to improve protection of automobile and extend life-span and reduce total weight of automobile.With development of technology,Zn-Ni alloy already used for space equipment,appliance etc.By compare with Zn-Ni alloy plating, Zn plating and chrome plating have disadvantage as following

1.Corrosion resistance is low.Normally,Salt spray for Zn plating and chrome plating are only 144h around.2.Environmental pollution is pretty heavy.3.Chrome is really bad for human body.Therefore,reusable Zn-Ni alloy are widely acceptable now.

2.Nice bonding between plating layer and parts.No deformation by squeezing caused by assembling.It is hard to weld Zn plating steel sheet while Zn-Ni alloy plating steel sheet is suitable to welding.The corrosion resistance improved very much after chemical processing.

Zn plating layer normally is 90-120HV while Zn-Ni plating layer can reach 220-270HV which provide nice scratch resistance.Melt point of Zn-Ni plating is about 750-800℃ and nice hot resistance,which make it suitable to engine.

  1. Zn-Ni alloy plating solution is stable.The cost is as half as Ni plating.
  2. Deposit of plating layer accumulated quickly.It can reach 60um/h.
  3. Plating layer distribute evenly,wich is better than most of plating method.
  4. Efficiency of current is up to 80%
  5. Density of plating current is big and low corrosion to equipment.
  6. Ni plating composition can be control within 10%-13%.The alloy in solution also can be control properly.The waste water can be control easily.
  7. Low density current for high brightness is nice,which is suitable to rack plating or rolling plating.
