High pressure casting,Gravity casting and Sand casting

Die casting:High pressure casting.It is casting that put melted alloy into die and form parts by high pressure and speed of injection.Die casting featured high pressure and high speed.

Gravity casting wildly means that metal liquid are poured into mould by gravity.Most of time,Gravity casting refer that metal liquid flow into mould by other ways than gravity.

Sand casting is one of traditional casting method that use sand as main material for mould

Sand casting are wildly used for any shape parts no matter their size and quantities.Sand casting mostly use wooden mould.However,sand casting are low efficiency and precision.The surface finishing is much worse than high pressure casting.

Die casting is most popular methods among all casting methods.They featured high efficiency and outcome.Die casting mostly refer to high pressure casting.

Die casting featured that metal liquid fill up and form parts inside mould fastly by high spped and high pressure.The disadvantage of die casting are that there will be porosity inside parts due to high speed and pressure,so aluminum die casting parts are not suitable for heating treatment and zinc die casting parts not suitable for plastic coating.Ohterwise,the parts will have blisters or lose shape.The excessings for machining need to be as little as possible.Normally,it will be 0.5mm around.That can reduce wight and machining cost as well as avoid air hole shown on surface.
